The Central Equatoria State Civil Society Network is a non-profitable non-governmental institution that lead initiative uniting indigenous organizations to foster peace, development, and unity in the region. The CESCSN network is composed of 50 national CSOs with nearly 80 member organizations. CESCSN serve to enhance CSO to contribute to the well-being of the population by acting as a frame work for dialogue context analysis, exchange of information, lobbying and evidence-based advocacy on national, regional and international issues on behalf of all members of Central Equatoria Civil Society Network.
The CSOs have been resilient and creative over the last decade, many organizations have managed to survive despite an unfortunate reduction in external funding and most of them have since renewed or established strong partnership with donors and government. They also agreed to regroup under on platform in order to maximize synergy and to have a stronger voice in their effort to influence sustainable development process in the country.
Through our collective efforts, Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) has been the first respondent to humanitarian assistance in the country, information and coordination has been championed by the CSOs.

The Central Equatoria State Civil Society Network (CESCSN) was established in 2022 with the support of UNMISS and fully fledged under the chapter 3, session 10 of NGO ACT,2016.
The Network was officially Launch in 2023 and supported by UNMISS, endorsed by the state Relief and Rehabilitation Commissions (RRC) in Central Equatoria, to support the localization idea of implementing the Quick Impactful project within the six Counties in South Sudan
Overall, the CESCSN is a promising step towards strengthening civil society engagement and promoting sustainable development in Central Equatoria State. By working together, UNMISS and CSOs can make a significant difference in the lives of vulnerable populations and contribute to a more peaceful and prosperous future.
